The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) National Corn Yield Contest is the premier corn yield competition in America. Farmers compete in various categories based on tillage practices and irrigation to see who can achieve the highest verified yields.
Entries are divided by tillage method (conventional, strip-till, no-till) and irrigation status (irrigated vs. non-irrigated). This allows fair competition among farmers using similar practices.
All winning entries are verified by NCGA officials. Harvest must be witnessed, moisture levels recorded, and field measurements confirmed to ensure accurate yield calculations.
Winners receive national recognition, prizes, and the prestige of being among the top corn producers in the country. Results are announced at Commodity Classic each year.
